Gory as Hell New Video Plays Up the “Strong Bloody Violence” in ‘Hellboy’!

Hellboy has been “Rated R for strong bloody violence and gore throughout, and language,” and this latest super-cut video makes damn sure you’re aware that the David Harbour-starring reboot is going to be much more brutal than Guillermo del Toro’s two movies.

In fact, it’s going to be a total bloodbath…

Also starring: Milla Jovovich as Nimue, the film’s villain; Ian McShane as Professor Broom; Daniel Dae Kim as Major Ben Daimio; Penelope Mitchell as Ganeida; and Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan with Sophie Okonedo (After Earth), Brian Gleeson (mother!) and Alistair Petrie (The Night Manager, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story).

Douglas Tait plays the monstrous Gruagach.

The new story sees the hero squaring off against a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy humankind.

Aron Coleite worked on the latest draft of a script by Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin and Mike Richardson are the producers. Hellboy is being exec produced by Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman, and Carl Hampe.

Hellboy returns on April 12, 2019.

Dark Sky Bringing Entire ‘Hatchet’ Franchise to SteelBook Blu-ray

Dark Sky Films has announced Dark Sky Selects, a new label “committed to delivering a meticulously curated selection of high-quality, limited edition film releases and exclusive merchandise to the collector’s market.” First up? Hatchet: The Complete Collection SteelBook.

The Limited Edition Blu-ray set collects together all four of creator Adam Green’s Hatchet films for the very first time on Blu-ray, and it’s set to be released on June 25, 2024.
