‘Parasite’: First Look at the Trailer for ‘The Host’ Director’s Next!
Late last year, Neon had acquired North American rights to Okja and The Host director Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite from South Korea’s CJ Entertainment. Now, ahead of a rumored Cannes World Premiere, a trailer has dropped. Unfortunately, there are no subtitles, but it looks as impressive as any of Ho’s other works that also include Snowpiercer.
The story follows the character of Ki-taek and his unemployed family as they take a peculiar interest in the Park family – until they get entangled in an unexpected incident.
Song Kang Ho (Snowpiercer, The Host) stars as Ki-taek alongside Lee Sun-kyun (A Hard Day) and Cho Yeo-jeong (Obsessed) as the Parks, and Choi Woo Shik (Okja), Park So-dam (The Priests) and Chang Hyae Jin (Poetry) as, respectively, Ki-taek’s son, daughter and wife.
I’d expect to see this released by Neon this summer.
Every body has a secret. André Øvredal’s The Autopsy of Jane Doe is getting a brand new home video release from Severin Films, marking the movie’s debut on the 4K UHD format.
The release is part of the Severin Summer Sale, launching June 26.
When the body of an unidentified young woman is discovered at the scene of a mass slaughter, it is sent to the local coroner (Brian Cox) and his son (Emile Hirsch) for surgical post-mortem. But this corpse will reveal chilling secrets. The mortuary itself will pulse with malevolence. And as their autopsy cuts deeper, an unstoppable evil will rise.
