Jim Jarmusch has put together “the greatest zombie cast ever disassembled” for his zombie-comedy The Dead Don’t Die, which we’ve learned today will be opening this year’s Cannes!
Variety reports that The Dead Don’t Die will kick off the Cannes Film Festival on May 14. It’ll be “in competition for the Palme d’Or, the festival’s top prize.”

The peaceful town of Centerville finds itself battling a zombie horde as the dead start rising from their graves.
The incredible cast includes Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, Iggy Pop, Sara Driver, RZA, Selena Gomez, Carol Kane and Tom Waits.
Focus Features will release the film on Friday, June 14, 2019 in North America.
