The Witch breakout Robert Eggers is re-teaming with leading genre production company A24 for The Lighthouse, a fantasy horror film that Eggers wrote and directed. Filming wrapped last year on Eggers’ hotly anticipated followup to The Witch, which stars Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson and was shot on 35mm black and white stock.
This morning we’ve learned that The Lighthouse will have its World Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, and we’ve also been provided with a first look at Dafoe and Pattinson in the film.

The film is about an aging lighthouse keeper, named Old. It takes place in Nova Scotia in 1890.
Cannes runs from May 14th-May 25th this year.
