Tyler Labine Hints That ‘Tucker and Dale vs. Evil’ Will Continue in Some Form; “We’re in Development”

It has somehow already been almost ten years since the release of Eli Craig’s Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, one of the hands down best horror-comedies of these past ten years. The film starred Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk as two hillbillies mistaken for murderous maniacs, and fans like myself have been practically begging for a sequel for nine years now.

What’s the latest on all that? Well, Alex over at Broke Horror Fan just did an interview with Tyler Labine about Escape Room, and he teased that *something* is in the works!

“We’re working on something right now. I wouldn’t call it a film sequel, but the story is not done being told,” Labine told the site.

I can’t really tell you much, but we’re in development with a couple things right now. Things are looking pretty good. Alan and I are both still on board, along with Eli. We’re just trying to line up a few pieces. It’s just a matter of timing. We’re going to get something to the fans, because that’s really the only reason we want to do it. No one’s getting rich off this thing. Alan and I have always been like, ‘Whatever we do has to be for the people that stuck with it and made it what it is.’ That’s all the fans. Hopefully something will come to fruition.
