The hotly anticipated event movie Avengers: Endgame has been making headlines for many reasons these last several weeks, one of which is the film’s runtime. Clocking in at 3-hours (plus 1 minute) long, it’s the longest MCU movie to date, but that makes a whole lot of sense given it’s paying off 10+ years of storytelling. I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu, you could say, is a movie nearly 40-years in the making, and returning director Meir Zarchi‘s direct sequel to the 1978 rape-revenge classic aims to be epic with a runtime of… wait for it… wait for it…
2 hours, 28 minutes?!
Yes, I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu is just under 2 1/2 hours long, making it nearly a full hour longer than Zarchi’s original film. Why so long, you ask? Your guess is as good as ours.
Camille Keaton reprises the role of Jennifer Hills in Deja Vu, starring alongside Jamie Bernadette as her character’s young daughter, Christy Hills….
Incensed that Jennifer Hills was vindicated of killing her rapists decades prior, both mother and daughter are kidnapped by revenge-seeking relatives.
Maria Olsen, Jim Tavare, Jonathan Peacy, Jeremy Ferdman, Holgie Forrester, Roy Allen and Alexandra Kenworthy also star.
I Spit On Your Grave: Deja Vu was released onto DVD and Blu-ray this past Tuesday.
