While we wait for the trailer, we’ve learned today that Dimitri “Vegas” Thivaios, known as one half of the global headline DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, has been announced as one of the cast members in Rambo V: Last Blood, reported to be Rambo’s last adventure.
The brothers just launched their latest single, ‘Best Friends Ass’, a collaboration with Paris Hilton. The unique track will follow up with a video starring the likes of Kim Kardashian and Chuck Liddell. As a DJ and producer, Vegas has worked with artists including Wiz Khalifa, Ne-Yo, Diplo, David Guetta, Marin Garrix, Gucci Mane, Snoop Dogg and Hans Zimmer. On the road, the duo have headlined many of the world’s biggest stages such as EDC Las Vegas, EXIT festival, Electric Zoo NY and Creamfields, alongside being the official mainstage resident for the 180,000 capacity Belgian festival, Tomorrowland.
Beyond his music career, Dimitri’s profile as an actor continues to flourish. Having previously appeared alongside Belgian film legend Jean-Claude Van Damme in action movie Lukas, as well as a role in the third feature film Patser from Moroccan directors Adil El Arbi & Bilall Falah. His love for acting as also led him down the path of voice over roles where he previously took on a dubbing role in Disney’s blockbuster Big Hero 6 and Peter Parker in the animated film Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.
In the fifth installment of the franchise, when the daughter of one of his friends is kidnapped, Rambo, who has been working on a ranch, crosses the U.S.-Mexican border and quickly finds himself up against the full might of one of Mexico’s most violent cartels.
Sergio Peris-Mencheta (“Snowfall”) will be playing Rambo’s latest adversary. The actor will play the cartel’s brutal leader, Hugo Martinez.
Yvette Monreal, Adriana Barraza, Paz Vega, Oscar Jaenada and Joaquin Cosio also star.
