Warner Bros. Pictures’ long-awaited adaptation of Akira is finally coming together, with Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Thor: Ragnarok) on board to direct. And not only is it actually happening this time, but it has now been dated for release!
WB will release Waititi’s Akira on May 21, 2021.
