With Godzilla: King of the Monsters soon roaring into theaters, Syfy and The Asylum are unleashing their own original Kaiju movie this weekend, a monster mash titled Monster Island.
Written and directed by Mark Atkins, Monster Island has the following logline:
As the world tries to stop a giant Kaiju bent on destruction more and more monsters appear – each one more terrible than the last – leaving mankind defenseless until our heroes reach out to a specialist versed in monster lore.
The cast includes Toshi Toda (1998’s Godzilla), Eric Roberts, Chris Fisher, Adrian Bouchet, Meghan Oberholzer, Natalie Robbie and Donna Cormack.
Monster Island will premiere Saturday, June 1st on Syfy!
