John Krasinski is returning to the director’s chair for A Quiet Place 2, with Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe signed on to reprise their roles from the first film. Cillian Murphy is also on board for Paramount’s sequel, and as we recently learned, Brian Tyree Henry (Child’s Play) will additionally be playing a new character we’ll meet in next year’s film.
Chatting with Indiewire, Brian Tyree Henry teased what we can expect…
“I think that we’re going to get a few answers to the origin of where and how this whole thing happened,” the actor told the site, suggesting we’ll be learning more about this particular apocalypse next year. “I think that people want to know that. But I think you’re just going to see another side of it…more of humanity that survived this thing in this next story.”
Krasinski, who is also writing the follow-up, recently noted that he doesn’t see it quite as a sequel so much as an expansion on the world he took us into last year.
