In celebration of the 35th anniversary of Ghostbusters, Sony Pictures Consumer Products has partnered up with Classic Stills, a Los Angeles and London-based publisher of rare and iconic photographs, to release a limited-edition collection of 13 stills from Ghostbusters – some of which are signed by Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson – for the first time ever!
Yes, this is the first time photography from the movie has been available as gallery-quality fine art prints. The prints were previewed on June 8 at the Ghostbusters Fan Fest, presented by Wizard World on the Sony Pictures Studio Lot in Culver City, CA. Cast members Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson, and director Ivan Reitman, signed a number of prints from the collection.
“Ghostbusters has stood the test of time as one of the quintessentially iconic 80s movies,” said CEO Rene Freling. “Releasing the official collection of fine art prints on the Sony Pictures Studio Lot with cast, crew and the director present was only fitting for such iconic imagery.”
The collection features 13 photos from Ghostbusters including iconic moments, on-set photography and publicity stills.
The collection will be on sale on www.classicstills.com and www.classicstills.co.uk. 100 prints of each image will be available for purchase, with prices ranging from $149/£125 to$495/£399, depending on size. A limited number of autographed prints will also be available for an additional $100 per print. Each print is individually numbered and will only be available for a limited time.
Classic Stills images are developed using the chromogenic print (C-print) process and are printed on archival-quality photo paper. Every print is framed meticulously by hand, includes acid-free matting and hinging, and is protected by UV acrylic to prevent fading.
