One of the craziest fun facts of all is that both Gremlins and Ghostbusters were released in theaters on the very same day (June 8th, 1984), and in the wake of the latter film coming to 4K Ultra HD this week, Joe Dante‘s Gremlins is also headed to 4K this year. Gremlins will hit 4K UDH on October 1st, the first time it has ever been made available in the format!
And speaking of Gremlins, the official WB website has celebrated the film’s 35th anniversary with a gallery of images from their archives, many scanned from original negatives!
The images include production stills as well as behind the scenes photos, and some of them we had never even seen before. There’s also an awesome vintage print ad down below.
