During Comic-Con last year, you may recall, it was announced that the company Atomic Toybox was working on a reboot of 1978’s cult classic Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, with an official website launching for the film at that time. It’s been a year since we’ve heard a single thing about the reboot, but this week we’ve learned that filming is now underway!
Director Dustin Ferguson (Amityville: Evil Never Dies and the upcoming Direct to Video: Straight to Video Horror of the 90s) announced over on Facebook today, “Today I Direct the first attack scene for the “Attack of The Killer Tomatoes” reboot!!! This has been a long time coming and I couldn’t be more honored!”
