The Dead Rise in Morgue-Set ‘Nightshift’ [Trailer]

Haling out of the Philippines comes director Yam Laranas (The Echo, Patient X, The Road, Abomination, Aurora), who has yet another horror film up his sleeve.

Next up for Laranas is Nightshift, which takes the horrors to a morgue.

In the film, a woman is stuck in the morgue – on her first day – working as an assistant to a pathologist when the dead begin to manifest signs of resurrection. Not believing in the concept of the ‘afterlife’, she is challenged to face the reality that the strange weather outside, recurring earthquakes, and an unearthly trumpet sound could be the countdown to the end of days.

The trailer is pretty spooky and teases the dead rising, while also introducing some sort of big bad – is it Death?

We’re told this should release before year’s end.
