Eddie Brock’s ex Anne Weying (played by Michelle Williams) briefly transformed into comic book character She-Venom in Ruben Fleischer’s Venom, a surprise treat for fans that was no doubt one of the coolest moments in the movie. And it sounds like we may be getting more She-Venom in director Andy Serkis‘ Venom 2, as Williams will be reprising the role!
“I’m in,” Williams officially confirmed to Yahoo this week.
The actress added, “I’m such a fan of Andy’s, and I’m so inspired by what he’s been able to accomplish. He’s so gifted in such a specific way, and I’m very excited to learn from him and be around him.”
Williams also expressed that she hopes She-Venom gets more screen-time in the sequel.
The sequel’s script was written by Kelly Marcel. We assume that Woody Harrelson will appear in Venom 2 as Cletus Kasady (aka Carnage), but nothing has been confirmed at this time.
Tom Hardy, of course, will be back as Eddie Brock.
