Fox Searchlight shared this brand new featurette that goes behind the scenes of Radio Silence‘s (V/H/S, Southbound) Ready or Not, which looks to get extremely bloody.
Leading lady Samara Weaving, who by now should be one of your favorite up-and-coming horror stars, talks a lot about the blood, guts and deterioration of the wedding dress she wears throughout.
You see, Ready or Not follows a young bride (Weaving) as she joins her new husband’s (Mark O’Brien) rich, eccentric family (Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, Andie MacDowell) in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.
Interestingly, the bride’s dress is thematically echoed through the filmmakers’ lens. As co-director Matt Bettinelli-Olpin explains, the film is “grand and classical” and eventually “degrades and degrades“, much like the several layers of the dress.
