Another Halloween horror flick headed our way this spooky season is In Hell Everybody Loves Popcorn: The Making of 31 director Josh Hasty‘s Candy Corn, which takes place on the eve of Halloween in Grove Hill, Ohio.
A traveling carnival is in town for the weekend and local outcast, Jacob Atkins, has been hired as one of the freaks in the event’s main attraction, “Dr. Death’s Side Show Spook House Spectacular”. Meanwhile, a group of local bullies are planning their annual public hazing of Jacob, but this year things go too far. And on Halloween, the dead are free to walk the earth.
Horror icons Courtney Gains (Children of the Corn), P.J. Soles (John Carpenter’s Halloween, Carrie) and Tony Todd (Candyman, The Crow, Final Destination) star in Hasty’s new film, alongside Pancho Moler (Rob Zombie’s 31, “American Horror Story”).
