The next film that James Wan will direct is a new horror movie for New Line, said to be an original film that’s aiming for a “hard R” rating with a focus on old school, practical effects.
Filming is getting set to begin soon, and Variety reports today that Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle, The Mummy) is the first actor to be cast in Wan’s next movie.
Wan and Ingrid Bisu share “story by” credits, with no writer yet confirmed. The film is expected to shoot in LA this fall, with Wan and Michael Clear producing for Atomic Monster.
