Saban Picks Up Darren Bousman’s ‘Death of Me’ With Plans to Release the Film in 2020

He’s currently hard at work on directing the next installment in the Saw franchise, but that’s not the only film we’re getting from director Darren Lynn Bousman next year.

Deadline reports today that Saban Films has acquired the North American rights to Bousman’s Death of Me, with plans to release the film in theaters sometime in 2020.

“The film centers on a couple on an exotic holiday who awaken one morning with a hangover and no recollection of what transpired. When playing back the video of their previous night, they learn they participated in a ritual that somehow ended with the husband murdering the wife — though she’s actually very much alive.”

Maggie Q and Luke Hemsworth star.

Ari Margolis & James Morley III and David Tish wrote the script.
