Just when you thought you couldn’t possibly be more excited about Richard Stanley‘s Nicolas Cage-starring H.P. Lovecraft adaptation Color Out of Space, we’ve learned today via Exclaim.ca that the sci-fi film’s score will be composed by Colin Stetson, who composed the score for Ari Aster’s Hereditary! Stetson also contributed music to Arrival and Red Dead Redemption II.
The Canadian saxophonist tweeted today, “I cannot wait for you all to see this madness.”
Cage and Joely Richardson star in the film in which they play a “family whose recent retreat to rural life is quickly disrupted by a meteorite that crashes in their front yard.”
“The Gardners’ peaceful escape quickly becomes a hallucinatory prison, as an extraterrestrial organism contaminates the farmstead, infecting everything and everyone it can.”
