Don’t be fooled by the kids toys and the animated series: Rambo has always been a rated “R” franchise and that violent tradition continues with new installment Rambo: Last Blood.
This year’s fifth installment in the franchise has been rated “R” for:
Strong graphic violence, grisly images, drug use and language.
Sylvester Stallone, you may recall, had announced the “hard R” rating over on Instagram a few weeks back, but the MPAA hadn’t officially reported the rating until this week.
Sergio Peris-Mencheta (“Snowfall”) will be playing Rambo’s latest adversary. The actor will play the cartel’s brutal leader, Hugo Martinez.
Yvette Monreal, Adriana Barraza, Paz Vega, Oscar Jaenada and Joaquin Cosio also star.
