[Exclusive] Tom Atkins in Talks for a Starring Role in Third Franchise Installment ‘The Collected’
The third installment in the franchise that began with The Collector and continued with The Collection is finally on its way, and it’s been officially titled The Collected (or, if you prefer, The Coll3cted). Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton both returned to write the script, and Dunstan will again be directing. Josh Stewart and Emma Fitzpatrick will also be back.
Who else will be starring, you ask? How about one of our all-time favorite icons?!
Bloody Disgusting can exclusively report today that horror legend Tom Atkins (Night of the Creeps, Halloween III, My Bloody Valentine 3D) is in talks for a starring role in The Collected!
Yes, a *starring* role. We’re told that all he’s got when he faces The Collector is his mouth. And in typical Tom Atkins fashion, we can expect that his words will hit like fists.
At the end of The Collection, Stewart’s Arkin quite literally collected the Collector, so the third film’s title is pretty perfect. We cannot wait to see where the franchise goes from there.
“The Collected is going to triple down on the grit and suspense we had in the first Collector,” we were recently promised. Filming is expected to take place this coming fall.
