‘The Final Girls’ Director Todd Strauss-Schulson Will Direct Comic Adaptation ‘Zombie Brother’
Tencent’s popular digital comic Zombie Brother is headed to the screen, we learned earlier this year, with STX Entertainment, Tencent Pictures and Channing Tatum, Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan’s Free Association production company developing the feature film adaptation. THR reports tonight that Todd Strauss-Schulson (The Final Girls) is in talks to direct.
The site notes, “The movie version is to follow a Chinese character who leads a ragtag team of New Yorkers in a fight to stay alive during a zombie apocalypse.”
“Todd is the perfect choice for Zombie Brother,” said STXfilms chairman Adam Fogelson. “His films thrive with a heart, energy, comic pace and visual inventiveness all their own.”
Strauss-Schulson also directed A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas and Isn’t It Romantic.
