Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier, the duo behind Drive Angry and My Bloody Valentine 3D, have reunited for this year’s Halloween horror flick Trick, directed by Lussier and co-written by Farmer and Lussier. Collider got their hands on the trailer today, ahead of the film’s theatrical, On Demand and Digital HD release from RLJE Films on October 18, 2019.
Trick introduces new slasher villain Patrick “Trick” Weaver, who comes back every Halloween to do some killing. And it looks like he’s a man of many masks, with the trailer highlighting a handful of different Halloween masks and also teasing some brutal kills. This one looks like a Halloween horror treat, and we’d expect nothing less from Farmer and Lussier!
On Halloween night in 2015, Patrick “Trick” Weaver massacred his classmates at a costume party. After being arrested, he managed to escape police custody, but not before being shot five times by Detective Mike Denver. Everyone believes Trick must be dead, but when a masked killer reappears the following Halloween, and every Halloween after that, they realize the nightmare is not over. With Trick wreaking havoc and killing people in increasingly terrifying ways, Denver will stop at nothing to finish what he started and bring the carnage to an end.
