The various trailers for the Tim Miller-directed Terminator: Dark Fate show an insane fight sequence that takes place on the open road. An extended look at the scene has now released, although it’s in Russian. Thankfully, there’s only a few lines of dialogue over the two-and-a-half-minute of footage that’s a clear homage to Terminator 2: Judgment Day, with Mackenzie Davis‘ hybrid cyborg human protecting Natalia Reyes‘ character from a newly modified liquid Terminator (Gabriel Luna) from the future.
The clip hits ten when Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) arrives and annihilates Luna’s REV-9, making it look easy as pie. How will Luna’s Terminator return, and the same goes for Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s T-800? And can mankind escape its dark fate?
In addition, Paramount has released another extended piece of footage (added at the bottom) showing Luna’s character arriving to intercept Reyes, and then Davis stepping in to save her. It’s all very Judgment Day-esque right down to the battle-damaged T-800 (shown above).
Dark Fate hits theaters November 1st, 2019.
