Universal Pictures has just released the first trailer for the Steven Spielberg-produced The Turning, a 1990s-set adaptation of the classic Henry James novel The Turn of the Screw.
In the film, a young woman (Mackenzie Davis) hired as the nanny to two orphans is convinced that the country mansion they live in is haunted.

Floria Sigismondi directed the film with Jade Bartlett penning the most recent draft from Chad and Carey Hayes’ (House of Wax, The Conjuring 2) original script.
Scott Bernstein and Roy Lee are producing, with Spielberg exec producing.
Universal is set to release the horror film on January 24, 2020.
