Fresh off last year’s The Endless, which came in the wake of fan favorites Resolution and Spring as well as the “Bonestorm” segment of our own V/H/S: Viral, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are back with Synchronic, a brand new sci-fi thriller that’s U.S. rights were acquired by Well Go USA out of the Toronto International Film Festival.
Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan star as two New Orleans paramedics, whose lives are ripped apart after encountering a series of horrific deaths linked to a designer drug with bizarre, otherworldly effects.
Joe Lipsett called the film “a daring go for broke sci-fi original” when he reviewed the film out of its World Premiere this past September.
The film is produced by David Lawson Jr., who produced The Endless, along with Benson and Moorhead for Rustic Films. The script was written by Benson.
It will release in theaters and on VOD platforms in 2020. Deadline first reported the news.
