Announced at SDCC back in July, Scott Derrickson‘s sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is being billed as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first horror film, set to go heavy on the “gothic” and “horror” elements. Benedict Cumberbatch will be back as the title character, with Elizabeth Olsen co-starring as the MCU’s Scarlet Witch.
Collider reports this week that Jade Bartlett (Miller’s Girl) has been set to write the film.
Bartlett, the site notes, wrote the most recent draft of next year’s The Turning.
Doctor Strange will enter the Multiverse of Madness on May 7, 2021.
