Based on the short story “The Quiet Boy” by Nick Antosca (“Channel Zero”), director Scott Cooper‘s new horror film Antlers is releasing on April 17, 2020, and with that news comes the full trailer.
Fox Searchlight’s second trailer is wonderfully mysterious, again teasing a creepy monster movie without revealing too much. All we can really gather here is that the film looks to center on a young boy whose father is becoming some sort of monster, and that’s really all we need to know. Here’s hoping the reveal of the monster stays in darkness until the film’s release.

In Antlers, a small-town Oregon teacher (Keri Russell) and her brother (Jesse Plemons), the local sheriff, become entwined with a young student (Jeremy T. Thomas) harboring a dangerous secret with frightening consequences.
Graham Greene, Scott Haze, Rory Cochrane and Amy Madigan also star.
The film is written by Henry Chaisson and Nick Antosca, with revisions by Scott Cooper.
