Michael Gross will once again be reprising the role of Burt Gummer in the upcoming Tremors 7, but we’ve learned this week that Jamie Kennedy will *not* be starring alongside him.
Kennedy played Travis Welker, Burt’s son, in both Tremors: Bloodlines and Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell, and he took to Twitter last night to confirm he won’t be back for part 7.
“Lot of people have been asking me, so I might as well spill it. I will NOT be in the upcoming TREMORS 7,” Kennedy tweeted. “I had a great time making the last two. But no TRAVIS this time around. But hey you neva’ know what can happen in the future…. have a great time boys!”
In the reportedly-titled Tremors: Island Fury:
“The deadly Graboids are back, illegally brought in to a new island resort by a rich playboy looking for a trophy hunt.”
Brian Brightly wrote the screenplay with Universal Home Entertainment regular Don Michael Paul returning to direct. He previously got behind the camera for Tremors 5: Bloodlines and last year’s Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell, as well as several other Universal home video titles.
