One of the legendary Sid Haig‘s final performances was in the old school-style slasher Hanukkah, and the film is now being released by Invincible Entertainment and My Way Pictures this month. First up, the holiday horror film will hit limited theaters on December 13, followed by a VHS release on December 20 and a VOD/Blu-ray release on February 11, 2020.
Yes, Hanukkah is coming to VHS before it’s available on Blu-ray, with only 100 copies each of black, yellow and blue tapes available. They all come in old school clamshell cases.
In the film, also starring Charles Fleischer, PJ Soles, Caroline Williams, Robert Felsted Jr., Joe Knetter and the late Dick Miller:
“A group of Jewish young adults are getting ready for the holidays, but are in for a Festival of Frights. With the help of a wise Rabbi, they deduce that they are being targeted because they have violated Judaic law and that their only chance of survival is to embrace their faith.”
