Bloody Disgusting has the first image and sales poster for Argentine genre filmmaker Santiago Fernandez Calvete’s Vurdalak Blood, based on Alexi Tolstoy’s short story “The Family of the Vourdalak”. He will be screening a work-in-progress at this year’s Ventana Sur Blood Window genre sidebar, reports Variety.
In the film, “After killing a vampire, a man returns home during the magic hour, right between day and night, and his family does not know whether he is still a man or has turned into a monster. It is Natalia, his teenage daughter, who finds out he has become a vampire, precisely when her brother is about to leave her to chance and nighttime is just around the corner.”
The film is still being completed and shopped to distributors.
