Better watch out. Better not cry. Better stay up. Or else you might die.

Like Santa Claus, Freddy Krueger sees you when you’re sleeping and knows when you’re awake – plus he totally wears a Christmas sweater – so that’s more than enough to make the Nightmare on Elm Street films perfect for holiday viewing… right?!

Syfy thinks so, and they’ve programmed a Nightmare on Elm Street franchise marathon that’ll take you through Christmas Eve and into Christmas morning. The slashing begins tonight at 10pm EST with Wes Craven’s original classic, and the marathon comes to an end with Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare at 8am on Christmas morning. Here’s the full schedule…

December 24th:

  • 10pm – A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

December 25th:

  • 12am – A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge
  • 2am – A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
  • 4am – A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
  • 6am – A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child
  • 8am – Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare

Syfy’s Christmas Eve/Christmas Day schedule also includes films like Abominable Snowman, Ice Road Terror, Santa Jaws, The 12 Disasters of Christmas and Christmas Icetastrophe.

‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Prequel ‘Furiosa’ Rated “R” for “Strong Violence” and “Grisly Images”

Anya Taylor-Joy fights the world in George Miller’s hotly anticipated Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the upcoming prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road that’s coming next month.

Warner Bros.’ Furiosa has been rated “R” this week for…

“Sequences of strong violence, and grisly images.”

Furiosa will release in theaters on May 24, 2024. The film will tell the origin story of the character Charlize Theron made famous in Fury Road, also directed by George Miller.

“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by the Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”

Chris Hemsworth co-stars as Warlord Dementus.

Whereas Fury Road essentially happened over three days and two nights, this happens over many years,” Miller had teased during a press conference last year.

Miller is co-writing and directing the movie for Warner Bros.

Back in 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road grossed nearly $400 million worldwide at the box office and won SIX Oscars, while also scoring rave reviews nearly across the entire board.

Last we heard, Miller also intends on making sequels centered on Tom Hardy‘s Mad Max.
