Sony’s big screen adaptation of the video game Uncharted just can’t seem to lock down a director, as Dan Trachtenberg’s replacement has also now exited the project this week.
Travis Knight (Bumblebee) had been set to direct the film back in September, but Deadline reports today that star Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man schedule is going to bump the planned release date back and also result in Knight departing the director’s chair.
According to the site, both Holland and Mark Wahlberg are still attached to star. Holland is playing main character Nathan Drake, with Wahlberg playing Victor “Sully” Sullivan.
“The Uncharted film has a story line that captures the protagonist as a young man, as he grows into the treasure hunter Nathan Drake.”
The adaptation was written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Rafe Judkins.
