The story you know hides a secret.
Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House) and Orion Pictures put a dark new spin on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale with Gretel & Hansel, releasing at the end of the month. Today brings with it a brand new trailer that’s loaded with all kinds of crazy new footage, along with a gorgeous new piece of poster art.
Horror fans have been keeping their eye on Perkins for a while now, and Gretel & Hansel will bring one of his twisted nightmares to big screen wide release for the first time. If this trailer is any indication, he’s going to be winning over a whole lot of new fans here in 2020. And if the movie is as good as it looks, well, let’s just say he’s fast becoming a new master on the scene.

In the film, “A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl (Sophia Lillis) leads her little brother (Sammy Leakey) into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.”
Alice Krige, Charles Babalola and Jessica De Gouw also star.
Rob Hayes wrote the script. Orion is releasing Gretel & Hansel on January 31, 2020.
