Danny Trejo Also Stars in Glenn Danzig’s ‘Death Rider in the House of Vampires’!

Glenn Danzig, who is currently touring his Verotika across the country, has already completed principal photography on his next, a Vampire Spaghetti Western that will star Casper, Final Destination, Idle Hands and The Fanatic‘s Devon Sawa.

IMDb has a cast and title update, which we’ve confirmed, noting that Danzig’s Death Rider in the House of Vampires will also star genre veteran Danny Trejo (From Dusk Till Dawn, Grindhouse, The Devil’s Rejects, Machete)!

Sawa will star as the film’s title character while Trejo is listed as “Bela Latigo”.

Also starring: Julian Sands (Warlock, “Into the Dark”) as “Count Holiday”, Kim Director (Book of Shadows, “NOS4A2”) as “Carmilla Joe”, Kansas Bowling (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) as “Rider’s Dead Sister”, Victor DiMattia (Cool as Ice) as “Kid Vlad”, Ashley Wisdom (Verotika) as “Mina Belle”, and Yulia Klass (Alone) as “Mircarla Mae”. Danzig also stars as “Bad Bathory”.

“The soundtrack has been done for two years and of course it sounds almost exactly like an Ennio Morricone soundtrack,” Danzig told audiences in Los Angeles earlier last year. “I think I’m actually going to do a small part in it too.

Everybody in the movie is a vampire,” he added. “So, you won’t have to wait around to see the vampire. They’re all fucking vampires!”

Danzig’s Verotika has become an instant cult sensation and the talk of the town. For those who are dying to see it, watch for more tour dates and release news in early 2020.

Filming is underway on The Invisible Man director Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man for Universal and Blumhouse, which will be howling its way into theaters on January 17, 2025.

Deadline reports that Matilda Firth (Disenchanted) is the latest actor to sign on, joining Christopher Abbott (Poor Things),  Julia Garner (The Royal Hotel), and Sam Jaeger.

The project will mark Whannell’s second monster movie and fourth directing collaboration with Blumhouse Productions (The Invisible Man, Upgrade, Insidious: Chapter 3).

Wolf Man stars Christopher Abbott as a man whose family is being terrorized by a lethal predator.

Writers include Whannell & Corbett Tuck as well as Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo.

Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers. Wolf Man is a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production.

In the wake of the failed Dark Universe, Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man has been the only real success story for the Universal Monsters brand, which has been struggling with recent box office flops including the comedic Renfield and period horror movie The Last Voyage of the Demeter. Giving him the keys to the castle once more seems like a wise idea, to say the least.
