If you’re asking me, the best film to come out of Legendary’s MonsterVerse so far was Jordan Vogt-Roberts‘ Kong: Skull Island, which damn sure proved one thing: Vogt-Roberts knows how to direct the hell out of a badass monster movie. Lucky for us, the next project from Vogt-Roberts is an original creature feature, and THR reports that a writer has been found.
Rodney Barnes (“The Boondocks,” “Everybody Hates Chris”) will be writing the film for New Regency. At this time, the title and plot details are completely under wraps.
THR notes, “it is known to be based on an idea by Vogt-Roberts and set in his hometown of Detroit.”
Vogt-Roberts is producing alongside Michael B. Jordan and Alana Mayo.
