Fresh off earning two Oscar nominations for Harriet, Deadline reports that Cynthia Erivo has set up her next project. She’ll lead the cast of Amblin’s sci-fi thriller Carrier.
The film from Amblin Studios will adapt the podcast created by QCode and Dan Blank, which starred Cynthia Erivo. The actress is also attached to produce the adaptation.
“Erivo will play Raylene, a truck driver who accepts an off-the-books long hall trucking assignment to cover for her ill father. She soon realizes that her mysterious cargo is a threat to the world and various forces begin targeting her to control or destroy it.”
Blank is writing and directing the feature film.
