Abusive Ex Appears in Clips from ‘The Invisible Man’ [Video]

The Leigh Whannell-directed The Invisible Man is a timely horror film that tackles abuse in our society and how those around the victims respond.

In the new take on the classic Universal Monster, “Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Elisabeth Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid).

“But when Cecilia’s abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.“

In the first of two clips, Moss’s Cecilia rushes into her sister’s car only to be pursued by an ultra-aggressive and violent boyfriend. In the second piece of footage, Cecilia tells some men that her ex is invisible and tormenting her. They don’t believe her.

Early social media buzz pegs The Invisible Man as a winner. On February 28, just don’t leave the seats next to you empty…
