Here’s some extremely random casting news out of EFM with Zach Braff (Garden State) set to star in the shark thriller Tiburon with Paula Patton (Traffik) and Rupert Friend (Homeland, The Death Of Stalin), reports ScreenDaily.
Sounding a bit like Crawl, only with sharks, Tiburon is the tale of a young family trapped in camper vans stranded on a flooded tidal basin within sight of the beach who must decide whether to face down a sadistic fugitive or flee through shark-infested waters.
Los Angeles-based producer and sales agent Culmination introduced the film to worldwide buyers in Berlin.
Production is scheduled to commence in South Africa this spring.
