Four years later…
From the creators of the South Korean film Train to Busan, Well Go USA presents Peninsula, a follow-up film set within the same universe as the 2016 zombie masterpiece.
Yeon Sang-ho returned to direct Peninsula, starring Gang Dong-won and Lee Jung-hyun. Check out Well Go’s poster below, which titles the film Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula.
“The film will revisit the same zombie virus that was seen in the original movie, except this time the focus will be expanded to the entire Korean peninsula.”
“Peninsula takes place four years after the outbreak of zombies that were chasing protagonists on a train speeding south to Busan. The Korean peninsula is devastated and Jung-seok, a former soldier who has managed to escape overseas, is given a mission to go back and unexpectedly meets up with survivors.”
We’re expecting this one to be released later this year.
Train to Busan spawned a prequel with the animated film Seoul Station back in 2016, and we had learned last September than an English-language remake was in the works.
