It was originally set for release in April and then bumped to August, and we’ve learned today that Adam Robitel‘s sequel Escape Room 2 will now be released by Sony on December 30.
Escape Room stars Logan Miller and Taylor Russell will be returning for the sequel.
Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan), Holland Roden (“Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block”), Indya Moore (“Pose”), Thomas Cocquerel (“The 100”) and Carlito Olivero (“East Los High”) also star.
Escape Room, released January 2019, pulled in $118.6 million worldwide on a $9m production budget.
The franchise follows strangers who find themselves in a maze of deadly rooms, forced to work together and use their wits to find the clues and escape… or die.
Bragi F. Schut wrote the sequel’s script.
