Chloe Okuno, who is writing and directing Bodies, Bodies, Bodies for A24, is also next partnering with Image Nation Abu Dhabi and Spooky Pictures on the psychological thriller Watcher, reports Variety.
In the pic, “A young woman moves into a new apartment with her fiancé only to be tormented by the feeling that she is being stalked by an unseen watcher in an adjacent building.”
It’s said to involve a serial killer who prompts a citywide panic.
Zack Ford wrote the script, which was featured on the Blood List.
Shooting begins this April.
Spooky Pictures is an exciting new low budget genre label recently formed by producers Roy Lee (The Ring, It, Doctor Sleep, The Boy, The Woman in Black) and Steven Schneider (Pet Sematary, Paranormal Activity, Insidious).
Okuno is the director of the award-winning AFI short film “Slut”, which can be viewed below, centered on a naive young girl becoming the target of a murderous sociopath when she attempts to reinvent herself to impress the boys in her small Texas town.
She has since been writing the reboot of 1977 supernatural thriller Audrey Rose for Orion Pictures and Platinum Dunes.
