It’s a bit under the radar at the moment because the marketing campaign hasn’t yet begun, but one of the movies we’re most excited to see this year is Edgar Wright‘s Last Night in Soho, a psychological horror movie that we know very little about at this moment in time.
The film, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Thomasin McKenzie, is set in London’s Soho district during the Swinging Sixties, and there seems to be a time travel element involved.
On a recent episode of MTV’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, brought to our attention this week by Indiewire, Taylor-Joy provided a brief tease of Wright’s take on 1960s London.
“Not to say much about the movie, but when I watch bits of it back in ADR or whatever I am disturbed,” the actress teased. “It’s very claustrophobic. The colors are so intense. It’s a really well-directed acid trip. I think people will really like it. You definitely will not be bored.”
Wright wrote the script with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (“Penny Dreadful”).
