Craig David Wallace, the co-creator and showrunner of “Todd and the Book of Pure Evil,” has a new genre project on the horizon, a feature film thriller titled Daughters.
Co-written with Ian Malone (Big Top Academy, The Next Step), the “genre bending thriller” has begun production this week, with Wallace (“Slasher”) directing.
The film follows a single mother stalked by a vengeful couple who believe she’s responsible for their daughter’s murder.
Set to be distributed in Canada by Raven Banner Entertainment – which also represents the worldwide sales for the film – Daughters stars Lora Burke (For the Sake of Vicious), Kristen MacCulloch (The Vault), Nick Smyth (Cardinal) and Colin Paradine (Defective), and it marks Tessa Kozma’s on screen debut.
Produced by Federgreen Entertainment’s Avi Federgreen and Lucky Dime Films’ Laura Tremblay, cameras are expected to roll on the thriller in Toronto until late March. Executive producers on the project include Raven Banner Entertainment managing partners Michael Paszt, James Fler and Andrew Hunt as well as Gil Hopkins and Marvin Waxman.
The series “Todd and the Book of Pure Evil” ran for two seasons and spurred the animated feature Todd & The Book of Pure Evil: The End of the End, which Wallace co-directed.
