The infamous Demon Bear from the comics has been glimpsed in a few different trailers/TV spots for Josh Boone‘s The New Mutants, but we get our best look yet at the character today.
Wikipedia explains, “The Demon Bear draws power from negative human emotion. It is capable of teleportation, immense strength, transformation, and corruption of human souls.”
The antagonist was fought and defeated by the New Mutants in the comic books, and this latest TV spot features Magik (Anya Taylor-Joy) taking the fight to the nightmare beast.
This truly looks to be the superhero version of A Nightmare on Elm Street: Dream Warriors, itself something of a superhero-horror film, and honestly? I kinda can’t wait to see it.
Check out the “Attitude” TV spot below.
In the film, “Five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, fight to escape their past sins and save themselves.”
The New Mutants and their powers will finally be unleashed on April 3, 2020.
