Bloody Disgusting discovered a first image and behind-the-scenes video from Alone, which stars Jules Willcox (“Bloodline”, “Teen Wolf”) as a woman forced to battle against the elements as a pursuer closes in on her.
Directed by John Hyams (Netflix’s “Black Summer”, Universal Soldier: Regeneration, Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning), who is currently collaborating with Nicolas Winding Refn on HBO’s upcoming “Maniac Cop”, ScreenDaily reports that XYZ Films has acquired worldwide sales rights to the English-language adaptation of Swedish thriller and Guldbagge nominee Gone.
In Alone…
“Set in the Pacific Northwest wilderness, the film follows recently widowed Jessica (Willcox) who, fleeing the city in a desperate attempt to cope with the loss of her late husband, is kidnapped and locked away in a mysterious man’s cabin. Her escape from the clutches of this murderous captor land her in the heart of the untamed wilderness, with only her wits to rely on for survival as her pursuer closes in.”
Marc Menchaca (“Homeland”, “Ozark”) and Anthony Heald (The Silence of the Lambs) co-star in the film penned by Gone (2011) director Mattias Olsson.
