We got our very first look at Denis Villeneuve‘s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune just yesterday, and today Vanity Fair has provided us with NINE more images from the film.
Villeneuve told the site, “I would not agree to make this adaptation of the book with one single movie. The world is too complex. It’s a world that takes its power in details.”
Yes, the plan is for the Blade Runner 2049 director’s adaptation to span at least two feature films, with this December’s movie adapting only the first half of Herbert’s epic novel.

The big-screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune also stars Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet as main character Paul Atreides, along with Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, David Dastmalchian, Stephen Henderson, Charlotte Rampling and Javier Bardem.

Villeneuve directed Dune from a screenplay he co-wrote with Eric Roth and Jon Spaihts.
Warner Bros. and Legendary will release Dune on December 18, 2020.
