Published

on

We got our first glimpse of Seth Ickerman‘s “cosmic opera” Blood Machines with a trailer back in September that blew our minds wide open, and the final trailer has now arrived.

Additionally, we’ve learned that the visionary madness will be unleashed onto Shudder on May 21st. The absolutely wild-looking film features a score by Carpenter Brut (buy it now!).

“The film follows two space hunters tracking down a machine trying to free itself. After taking it down, they witness a mystical phenomenon: the ghost of a young woman pulls itself out of the carcass, as if the spaceship had a soul…”

“Trying to understand its nature, they start chasing the woman through space…”

The indie film, which was funded through Kickstarter and has been in the works for a few years now, features more than 500 VFX shots and showcases the work of 7 CG companies.

Among the ambitious project’s cast, Anders Heinrichsen is Vascan and Elisa Lasowski is Corey, while Christian Erickson and Natasha Cashman take the roles of Lago and Bald.

Blood Machines is 50-minutes in total, and will stream in 3 episodes on Shudder.
