We’re definitely not on an island anymore…
Production on Colin Trevorrow‘s Jurassic World: Dominion was temporarily shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic last month, but Trevorrow took to social media over the weekend to provide a little taste of some footage that had been shot prior to the shutdown. The behind the scenes photo comes with a forecast of winter, a first for the Jurassic franchise!
(Well, aside from that clever Jurassic World opening scene…)
The official Amblin Twitter account describes the behind the scenes shot, “Hangering for a Jurassic World: Dominion fix? Dinosaurs in the snow, you say? Our imaginations are indeed running wild!
The film’s current release date is June 11, 2021, but that could change.
The cast includes familiar and new faces such as Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Dichen Lachman, Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise and Scott Haze.
Emily Carmichael wrote the script with Trevorrow. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are set to produce with Steven Spielberg and Trevorrow serving as executive producers.
